In a signal channel, most messages are not signals. They are promotions, comments, screenshots of results, good mornings and links to the VIP channel.
The copier separates one from the other, and you decide how strict it is.
At minimum: the instrument, the direction and whatever is needed to size the risk. If something is missing, it is either discarded or completed with your defaults, depending on how you have it configured.
Every message is read and given a confidence score. You can require a minimum: the higher it is, the fewer signals get copied and the fewer mistakes slip through.
If a channel writes very oddly and good signals are getting past you, lower the bar; if noise is getting in, raise it.
Besides the automatic ones you have your own lists: words that make a message ignored, and required words without which it is not even looked at. You can also decide whether forwarded messages are read, which is off by default.
Many channels post the signal as a screenshot. They are not read yet: the setting is already in place and switched off, but image reading is one of the next things coming, on the Copier and Copier Pro plans.
In the meantime those messages sit in the history marked as unread rather than ignored: when it goes live, you will know how many you were missing.
