Management: stop to entry, trailing, partial closes

What the copier does by itself, once a trade is open, without you watching.

Stop to entry

When the first target is hit, the stop moves to the entry price. From then on, the worst that can happen is coming out flat.

It is the most useful piece of management there is and the one most people switch on. You choose which target triggers it.

The stop climbs with each target

Every time a target is reached, the stop on what is still open moves to the previous target. It does not follow price tick by tick: it climbs in steps, and the steps are the levels the signal itself set.

It comes switched on. If you would rather the stop stayed put and let the trade run, switch it off.

What else it can do on its own

  • Accept only stops that improve: if the channel says to move the stop somewhere worse, it is ignored. On by default.
  • Close on an opposite signal in the same instrument.
  • Close after X hours, so nothing stays alive indefinitely.
  • What to do if stop-to-entry is asked for while the trade is losing: nothing, close it, or move the stop to entry anyway.

Partial closes

Closing part of the position at a given level and letting the rest run. If you open one order per target, the structure already does this; if you open a single order, this is how to get the same effect.

The broker's minimum rules. With 0.01 lots, half of it does not exist. The copier detects this and acts on your configuration: close everything, or close nothing and tell you.

Channel instructions

Besides the automatic side, the channel can send instructions after the signal: move the stop, close partially, close everything. What is obeyed and what is not is in Provider instructions.

All of it is optional

None of this is on unless you turn it on. With no management configured, the trade lives with its stop and its target until one of them arrives.
