If you close one account in MetaTrader and open another, the program detects it as soon as it connects.
The terminal stays linked to you, but the account number changes. In the app you will see the new account, with its balance, its currency and its leverage.
From then on everything is calculated with the new account: percentage risk comes from the new balance.
They stay in the old account, where you opened them. The copier no longer sees them, so:
Put another way: they stop being managed, but they are not left unprotected.
If you are about to switch accounts with live trades, decide first what you are doing with them.
The most typical case: you tested on demo and want to go live. Do it calmly:
