Message and trade history

History has two tabs, and it is worth knowing which one to look at.

Messages

Every message that arrived from your channels, with what was decided about each and why:

• Signal: read as a signal.
• Action: it was an instruction about an earlier signal, for example moving the stop.
• Ignored: neither of those. A promotion, a comment, a greeting.
• Discarded: it did look like a signal, but it did not pass your checks. There is always a written reason here: risk out of limits, trading hours, the instrument does not exist at your broker, price had already moved too far.
• Waiting: information is missing and the next message is being waited for, which sometimes brings the targets.

This is the tab to open when something did not happen and you do not know why.

Trades

What actually happened in your account: what was opened, at what volume, at what price, and how it ended. In shadow, what would have happened.

How much is kept

The text of messages, ninety days on all three plans; after that what remains is the record of what was decided, without the text.

The history of signals and trades lasts longer: 90 days on Shadow, 180 on Copier, and no limit on Copier Pro.

What it is really for

Two things, mostly:

1. Understanding a discard. Almost every "the trade did not open" explains itself once you read the reason.
2. Judging a channel. Reading twenty of its messages in a row tells you more about it than any statistic: you see how it writes, whether it contradicts itself, whether it posts real signals or advertising.
