How to copy Telegram signals to MetaTrader

You follow a signals channel and the problem is not the channel: it is that signals arrive when you are not there. At work, asleep, driving. By the time you open your phone, the price has already moved.

Copying them by hand, on time and without getting the lot size wrong, is not realistic. This explains how it is actually done, what you need in each case, and where the traps are.

What «copying a signal» means

A signal is a message. This one, for example:

GOLD SELL Entry 4192.25 · Stop 4205 TP1 4187.25 · TP2 4182.25 · TP3 4142.25

Copying it means turning that message into an order in your account: the symbol, the direction, the price, the stop loss and the take profit. And then keeping it: moving the stop when it is due, closing part of it if the channel asks, cancelling if the channel cancels.

The first part is a minute of work. The second is what nobody can do by hand, because it happens at any hour.

The three ways to do it

By hand. You read the message and open the order yourself. It works if you are at the screen and the channel sends few signals. What fails is not typing the price: it is arriving late and working out the lot size in a hurry.

With a program inside your MetaTrader. A program reads the channel and opens the orders in your account. You need MetaTrader 4 or 5 running on a computer that does not switch off: if it switches off, restarts or the internet drops, that signal was not copied.

From a server. Your MetaTrader account runs on a server that is always on, and you install nothing. You can rent that server yourself — a Windows VPS, from about $13 a month — and administer it, or get it already set up.

What you need

  • A trading account with a broker that supports MetaTrader 4 or 5. A demo account is fine for trying it.
  • Access to the channel. If it is private, you have to be inside.
  • A computer that stays on, or a server playing that part.

What you do not need, in any case, is to give anyone the password of your account to copy from your own computer: the program lives inside your MetaTrader, which already has your session open.

The four traps

This is where the money is lost, and none of it is about the channel.

1. The lot size. If you copy the lot the channel posts, you are copying the risk of their account, not yours. You do not trade the same way with $10,000 and with $300. The size of the order has to come from your balance and from the percentage you decide you can lose.

2. The follow-ups. Many channels later send messages like «move to break even» or «close half». A copier that only opens orders and does not read those leaves you halfway. And watch out: some channels send menus of options — «you can close part of it, move the stop or let it run». That is not an instruction, it is a suggestion, and obeying it means guessing.

3. The symbol. Gold is called XAUUSD at one broker, GOLD at another and XAUUSDm at another. If the copier cannot translate it, the order never goes in.

4. The same message twice. Channels forward, edit and repeat. Without a guard, you end up with the same trade open three times.

Try it without risking anything first

Before putting money in, see what would have happened. A serious copier lets you run it in watching mode: it reads the channel, works out the order it would have opened with your rules and your broker's real prices, and follows it to the end — but opens nothing.

After a few days you know two things you did not know: whether that channel suits you, and whether your settings are what you meant. It is the only honest way to judge a channel, because the results a channel publishes are its own, with its lot size and its account.

Copying signals can lose money. Automating it does not change that: it only makes what you decided happen on time. The trades are your decision.

And this is what we do

Norte Copier is a tool that does exactly the above: it reads the Telegram channels you choose and opens their signals in your MetaTrader 4 or 5, with your rules — your risk, your hours, your limits.

If you cannot leave a computer running, we also do it from our servers: you install nothing.

And it starts by watching. Shadow mode shows you what each signal would have done with your broker's candles before you risk a dollar.
